Murashige Laura
From: Marjorie Erway [merway@hawaii.rr.com]

Sent: Saturday, February 11, 2006 12:48 PM

To: cou nciltesti many @co. hawaii. h i. us
Subject: Please copy and distribute to all Planning Committee members for Feb. 14 mtg.
Re: KPC Villages, LLC, new request
Aloha Planning Committee members!
Even though KPC has amended their application by reducing the number
of units to 48, again, they are now seeking aresort-hotel
designation, so they can have commercial uses as well.
Until Kona's infrastructure is truly improved, there should be NO
MORE projects added to the Kailua Village area.
Please hold firm in voting 'no' to this proposal until the Ali'i
Parkway, Lako Street, La'aloa Street, and several other proposed
roads are completely in place. There have been too many promises of
connecting roads which have not yet happened, and the development is
finished. One example is the Keauhou View/Ali'i Heights subdivision,
with La'aloa not yet completed.
Business in the Village is already having a difficult time because of
poor traffic flow, so please do not allow it to become worse. Hold
off on the development for a few years until all roads are completed
and traffic flow is better.
It's difficult, I'm sure, to hold firm against development, but
please do, for all of our sakes.
Mahalo nui loa,
Marjorie Erway
PO Box 2807
Kailua-Kona, HI 96745
camm.
