BRaymondREZ05-022.jwd-12/15/05 <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII PLANNING DEPARTMENT <br /> BACKGROUND REPORT <br /> <br /> CHRISTOPHER RAYMOND <br /> CHANGE OF ZONE APPLICATION (REZ OS-022) <br /> <br /> CHRISTOPHER RAYMOND has submitted an application for a Change of Zone for 34.5 <br /> acres of land from an Agricultura120-acre (A-20a) district to a Family Agricultural 3-acre <br /> (FA-3a) district. The property is located along the south side of the Old Mamalahoa Highway, <br /> approximately 2,750 feet southeast of the Old Mamalahoa Highway -Hawaii Belt Road <br /> intersection and in close proximity to the Kamuela Lakeland Subdivision, Waikoekoe, Hamakua, <br /> Hawaii, TMK: 4-7-7:48. <br /> APPLICANT'S REQUEST <br /> 1. Proposed Development: The applicant is requesting to rezone approximately 34.5 acres <br /> from Agricultural 20-acre (A-20a) to Family Agricultural 3-acre (FA-3a). If approved, <br /> the applicant intends to subdivide the 34.5-acre area into eleven lots, consisting of 3+ <br /> acres each. The applicant intends to retain eight lots for the Raymond Family members <br /> and sell the remaining three lots. <br /> 2. Landowner's Authorization: The landowner, Robert Raymond, has authorized the <br /> applicant, Christopher Raymond, to apply for the above listed request. <br /> 3. Supportive Information: The applicant has submitted the attached in support of the <br /> request. (See Exhibit A -Change of Zone Application) <br /> BACKGROUND INFORMATION <br /> 4. February 24,1986: Change of Zone Ordinance No. 86 12 was approved for Juanita <br /> Raymond to rezone 57.597 acres from A-40a to A-20a on TMK: 4-7-7:48. (See Exhibit <br /> B -Change of Zone Ordinance No. 86-12) <br /> 5. February 26,1987: Final Subdivision Approval was granted to Juanita Raymond for a <br /> two lot subdivision of TMK: 4-7-7:48. Lot I-A is 23.038 acres in size and Lot 1-B, <br /> which is the parcel involved in this rezoning request, is 34.559 acres in size. <br /> STATE AND COUNTY PLANS <br /> 6.
