r-_.f <br /> PETITION TO HAWAII COUNTY COUNCIL <br /> WHEREAS the county of Hawaii is planning to change the school one way <br /> traffic pattern on Waianuenue Ave. to begin at Komohana St. <br /> and end at Laimana St., and <br /> WHEREAS drivers using Waianuenue Ave. going mauka will turn onto <br /> Laimana St. during the one way period, and <br /> WHEREAS drivers wishing to continue up Waianuenue Ave. will either <br /> turn onto Alae St. or Haili St. to go up to Komohana St., and <br /> WHEREAS the new traffic pattern will substantially increase the traffic <br /> in our neighborhood during the one way period, and <br /> WHEREAS there are children, elderly, and pets living in our neighborhood, <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS there are no sidewalks on Alae St. and <br /> WHEREAS the increased traffic will put the residents, pedestrians and <br /> pets of Aiae St. and those crossing Laimana St. at risk and <br /> create traffic congestion in our neighborhood, <br /> NOW THEREFORE we the undersigned residents of Laimana St. community, <br /> in order to protect our children, elderly, pets, and those <br /> pedestrians using this vicinity, do hereby petition the <br /> County of Hawaii to either, (1) maintain the current one <br /> way pattern, or (2) eliminate the one way pattern <br /> altogether. <br /> NAME ADDRESS <br /> 2. r ~ <br /> ay S ti /KS c. 0 <br /> 3.
