REQUEST: <br /> Draft and submit a Resolution to enter into a contract for goods and services, identified as ADM. SERV. <br /> OFFICE LOG NO. 06-212 with the State of Hawaii, Department of Health (DOH) to update and/or revise our <br /> EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION CONTROL STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES, dated 1975. Draft and <br /> submit an appropriation ordince to receive $44,000 from the State. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The Department of Public Works is in the process of updating and revising Chapter 10, EROSION AND <br /> SEDIMENTATION CONTROL, of the Hawaii County Code. However, the EROSION AND <br /> SEDIMENTATION CONTROL STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES, which is in Chapter 10 by reference, also <br /> needs to be brought up to date and/or revised inaccordance with current best management practices. The <br /> State DOH has provided funds for this effort.
