Arakaki, Alternate Vice Chair <br /> Hawaii State Association of Counties 4". <br /> <br /> SUBJECT: Nomination of an Officer and Alternate-to the Hawaii State Association <br /> of Counties (HSAC) Executive Committee for Fiscal Year 2006-2007 <br /> <br /> As the appointed alternate, I attended the HSAC Executive Committee meeting held on <br /> March 20, 2006, on behalf of HSAC Vice Chair Stacy Higa. At that meeting, I was asked <br /> to recommend a Council Member from Hawaii County to serve on next fiscal year's <br /> IISAC Executive Committee. Therefore, after first consulting with Vice Chair Higa, I <br /> recommended that he should continue to represent Hawai'i County. In addition, I would <br /> like to request that I remain as the alternate until December of this year, and that the <br /> second alternate be Council Member Donald Ikeda. <br /> <br /> Due to the time constraints for Council approval, I would like to request that this matter be <br /> waived to the full Council scheduled for April 5, 2006. <br /> <br /> Thank you for your consideration.
