JM~'~'~f N~!Y <br /> 4~•~~L:.~ tai <br /> \,~LL~'. <br /> COUNTY OF ~IAWAI`I STATE OF I~AWAI`I <br /> E pp ANA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. ~?h'~ <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORISING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF eA BOLL AED PLUS <br /> DEFIBRILLATOR TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PAR14S & RECREATION'S AQUATICS DIVISION <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Charles Wagaman has donated a Zoll AED Plus Defibrillator to the Department of Parks <br /> <br /> and Recreation's Aquatics Division; and <br /> WHEREAS, the defibrillator, to be used at the La'aloa Beach Park in Kailua-Kona by Water Safety <br /> <br /> Officers for response to cardiac emergencies, has an estimated total value of $2,500; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on <br /> behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this donation. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, 13E IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of Hawaii <br /> accepts this donation. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution and a letter of appreciation be sent to Mr. <br /> Charles Wagaman, 84 Pukihae Street, #1405, Hilo, Hawaii 96720, acknowledging this generous donation. <br /> Dated at xilo ,Hawaii, this 2nd day of May , 2006. <br /> INTRODUCED BY: <br /> ~ <br /> COU CIL MEMBER, COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> COUNTY COUNCIL ROLL CALL.
