Higa, Chairperson and <br /> Members of the Hawai'i County Council <br /> Hawai'i County Council <br /> 25 Aupuni Street <br /> Hilo, Hawai'i 96720 <br /> <br /> Re: Operating Budget <br /> <br /> The State of Hawai'i Department of the Attorney General is providing an additional funding of <br /> $4,350 to their Sexual Assault Multi-Disciplinary Training Grant to the County of Hawai'i. These <br /> funds, in addition to the $34,500 previously appropriated for this grant, will be used by the <br /> Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to coordinate a statewide 3-day training program aimed at <br /> improving the delivery of sexual assault services within the criminal justice system. <br /> <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating the <br /> additional $4,350 funds into the Sexual Assault Multi-Disciplinary Training grant account and <br /> bringing the total grant appropriation to $38,850. <br /> With the training program already scheduled for June 7 - 9, 2006, the Office of the Prosecuting <br /> Attorney respectfully request for waiver from the Finance Committee and to have this bill heard <br /> at the Council Meeting scheduled for May 17, 2006. <br /> <br /> If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> William Tak a <br /> Director of Finance <br /> <br /> APPROVED: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> F Harry Kim <br /> Mayor <br /> Enc.
