Bender Chancellor Rockne Freitas has been designated as the University's point of contact <br /> Mr. Michael A. Dahilig with responsibility for this exciting, new privatization project. As you may know, the <br /> Dr. Ramdn S. de la Pena Board of Regents has approved the selection of Hawaii Campus Developers, LLC <br /> (Sheldon Zane, local contact) as the private developer of this public/private joint <br /> Dr. Marlene M. Hapai venture to develop a new East Hawaii Community College Campus mauka of the <br /> Mr. James 1. C. Haynes lI UH Hilo Campus and to develop a new College Campus Center at the West Hawaii <br /> site mauka of the Kona airport. <br /> Mr. Allan A. Landon <br /> We are aware that there has been some concern expressed at one of the proposed <br /> Mr. Ronald K. Migi[a subject zoning conditions regarding the completion of a 20,000 sf. Community <br /> Ms. Jane B. Tatibouet College building on University property prior to occupancy of the subject zoned <br /> property in that the University might be slow in the coordination and approval <br /> Mr. Myron A. Yamasa[o process that could delay completion of the building. Please be assured that this <br /> project has one of our highest priorities, and the Board of Regents has complete <br /> confidence in the professional experience of Chancellor Rockne Freitas and Hawaii <br /> Campus Developers to respond in a timely manner to coordination and approval <br /> matters regarding the construction and completion of the building. <br /> 2444 Dole Street This project constitutes the first major step in meeting the educational needs of the <br /> Bachman Ha11209 West Hawaii community.
