SHOCKLEY <br /> CHANGE OF ZONE APPLICATION (REZ 06-000033) <br /> <br /> THOMAS E. SHOCKLEY has submitted an application for a Change of Zone from <br /> Agricultural 20-acre (A-20a) to Agricultural 10-acre (A-l0a) for approximately 21.389 acres of <br /> <br /> land. The property is located on the northwest corner of the intersection of Huehue Street and <br /> Kaloko Drive, Kaloko Mauka Subdivision, Kaloko, North Kona, Hawaii, TMK: 7-3-48: 5. <br /> <br /> PROPOSED ACTION <br /> 1. Request: Change of Zone from Agricultural 20-acre (A-20a) to Agricultural 10-acre (A- <br /> <br /> l0a) to subdivide the property into two parcels approximately ten acres in size to be used <br /> as residential/agricultural lots. The applicant proposes to construct a dwelling on one of <br /> <br /> the newly created lots. The dwelling is estimated to cost approximately $400,000. <br /> (Exhibit 1 - Change of Zone Application) <br /> <br /> 2. Landowners: Thomas E. Shockley and Lisa M. Choquette. <br /> STATE AND COUNTY PLANS <br /> <br /> 3. State Land Use Designation: Agricultural. <br /> 4. GP LUPAG Map: Extensive Agriculture. <br /> 5. County Zoning: Agricultural 20-acre (A-20a). <br /> <br /> 6. Coastal Zone Management, HRS, Chapter 205A: The entire State of Hawaii lies <br /> within the Coastal Zone Management Area. The property is located approximately nine <br /> <br /> (9) miles mauka of the shoreline at approximately the 4,600-foot elevation level and <br /> therefore, will not be impacted by coastal hazard and beach erosion. <br /> <br /> 7. Special Management Area (SMA): The Special Management Area is a part of the <br /> Coastal Zone Management Program and regulated by the County. The property is not <br /> <br /> located within the Special Management Area. According to the applicant, there are no <br /> identified recreational resources, historic resources, public access to the shoreline or <br /> <br /> mountain areas, scenic and open space preserves, coastal ecosystems, marine resources or <br /> other natural and environmental resources in the area. <br /> <br /> <br /> ATTACH: Corm. 907 <br /> Bill 291 <br />
