Holschuh, M.D., Council Member <br /> Subject: Bi11235, Draft 3 <br /> I ask that you consider amending Bi11235, Draft 3 by increasing the Revenue-Fund Balance From <br /> Previous Year Fund by $15,864.00 and increasing the Department of Pazks and Recreation's <br /> appropriations by the same amount. <br /> The increased expenditures will be used to add one 3/5 time Lifeguard I to the Honoka`a <br /> Swimming Pool. Currently, this pool is closed on weekends due to a staff shortage. The Honoka`a <br /> Swimming Pool provides one of the few opportunities for water recreation in this area, as the ocean <br /> is mostly inaccessible and there aze no other swimming azeas within a reasonable distance. The <br /> addition of this 3/5 time position would allow for this swimming pool to be available for the <br /> residents in the area on weekends when it is needed the most in many circumstances. <br /> New Positions: <br /> 1.
