Aloha Honorable Chairperson & Members of the Hawaii County Council. <br /> I am here again in strong support of bills 226 & 227 "Lava Kuakini", affordable housing. <br /> I am a "Kama aina" of Kona, a proud Konawaeana graduate. I still reside here today with <br /> my husband "Kama aina" & two children also "Kama aina". Both my husband & I have <br /> established our careers in Kona. <br /> My husband & I were ready to purchase a home in Kona unfortunately the prices <br /> skyrocked and we no longer qualify for the high price of homes in Kona today. <br /> More & more long time Kona residence that I know have moved out of state due to <br /> unaffordable homes.
