Angel <br /> Subject: TESTIMONY FOR BILL 268 <br /> <br /> Attending council and committee meetings via teleconference is informative, but is not the same as <br /> being able to attend the meetings in person and being able to speak to council members directly in- <br /> between sessions. Testifying in person has more of an impact than testifying via teleconference or via <br /> e-mail. Now that the West Side's population has grown so much, I feel that we deserve equal access to <br /> the decision making process in the County of Hawaii. <br /> <br /> I urge councilmembers to begin investigating what must be done to begin to install the teleconferencing <br /> option for Hilo side residents and county officials needing to appear before the council who don't want <br /> or have the time to travel to Kona. Please don't use this issue as an excuse to vote no as Kona residents <br /> did without this option for a long time.
