May 8, 2006

Stacy K. Higa
Council Chair
Hawaii County Council

Dear Mr. Higa:

I wish to comment on Bill 268, introduced by Kona Councilman Angel Pilago, at the May 1,
2006 Hawaii County Council Committee meeting. Mr. Pilago"s Bill, if it passes, would require
an equal amount of County Council meetings between East and West Hawaii.

I hope you will vote against this Bill. In my discussions with other constituents in your district
(District 4), we strongly feel this move should never occur. Hilo is where the majority of county,
federal and state business takes place, therefore most of the meetings should continue to be held
here. The people on the East side would overwhelmingly oppose such a change if polled.
The county already has set up video conferencing in Kona and Waimea. The offices there
provides people the opportunity to attend and speak whenever meetings are held in Hilo. And
presently, meetings held in Kona four times a year seem to be working well.

Please vote No when Bill 268 advances to the full Council.

Thank you.

ps)~~ Qu~
Peter Rebuldela
Hilo

Corms NQ `~i~O
Ref.
