Department of Water Supply (March 31, 2003 Memorandum): <br /> <br /> "As the application indicates, water for consumption is available from the 8-inch <br /> waterline in Mamalahoa Highway although it does not meet the fire-flow requirements. <br /> In accordance with the Department's 2002 Water System Standards, the existing 8-inch <br /> waterline in Mamalahoa Highway will need to be upgraded to a 124nch waterline to meet <br /> the fire-flow requirements for commercial zoning. A detailed analysis of the existing <br /> water system will need to be done prior to establishing all the improvements necessary to <br /> meet the fire-flow requirements, such as the length of 12-inch waterline and if storage <br /> and booster pumps will also need to be increased. Therefore, water is currently not <br /> available for the proposed application." <br /> <br /> 25. Department of Environmental Management - Solid Waste Division (December 29, <br /> 2003 Memo): <br /> <br /> "Commercial operations may not use transfer stations for disposal. Aggregates and any <br /> other construction/demolition waste should be reused to its fullest extent. Ample room <br /> should be provided for recycling." <br /> <br /> 26. Police Department (January 12, 2004 Memorandum): <br /> <br /> "Staff has no comments on the change of zone application, however, does have concerns <br /> on the likelihood of increased traffic congestion during peak traffic hours." <br /> <br /> 27.
