This is <br /> <br /> no accident. Achieving this goal was done only with the dedicated team <br /> effort by the members of the Hawaii County Police Department. Crime <br /> effects every citizen in this state. The elderly, females, and the very young <br /> are most often the victims. <br /> In order to fight crime, we need the best that the community has to offer, in <br /> the way of personnel. Once this person is trained and placed in the <br /> community, his job will be to provide services of a higher caliber. <br /> Currently, there aren't enough people that meet these requirements. <br /> Thorough background checks, as well as a polygraph examination eliminates <br /> many candidates for this type of work. You must remember that there is no <br /> room for error in selecting a police officer candidate. <br /> Although the County of Hawaii, like the State, faces financial concerns, it is <br /> important to remember that you get what you pay for.
