JCFA4 <br /> <br /> From: Virginia Isbell, Vice Chair f <br /> <br /> Subject: An Ordinance amending Chapter 9, Article 5, Division 2, Hawaii County <br /> Code 1983 (2005 Edition, As Amended) relating to amnesty permits of the <br /> Electrical Code <br /> <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Electrical Code by adding a new section <br /> relating to amnesty permits. <br /> <br /> Owners of unpermitted residential buildings or agricultural farm structures completed <br /> before January 1, 2006 may want to comply with the Electrical Code. This bill will <br /> create an amnesty period beginning October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007. The <br /> owners who secure an "amnesty permit" will be exempt from all civil and criminal <br /> penalties that might be imposed for constructing a structure without a permit.
