The
statement, "Makalei Drive will not be open to the public as an alternative
mauka/makai connector until Road 4 is open for public use" is incorrect. This is
not what was discussed and agreed to for the basis of withdrawing our previous
objections.
It was agreed that Makalei Drive would remain a minor road, not an "alternative
mauka/makai connector". It was further agreed that no physical connection
between the roads would be made until Road 4 was completed. If you recall,
both Larry Johnson and I were called back up to the podium at the last County
Council meeting to reiterate this understanding, on the record.
We trust this is merely an oversight and respectfully request the wording be
changed to accurately reflect what all parties agreed to.
Thank you.
Jerry Schneyer
Spokesman for the Makalei Estates Community Association
Comm.
