No. 376-06 <br /> PLACE: Sheraton Keahou Bay Resort and Spa <br /> 78-128 Ehukai Street <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 8:34 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred <br /> Resolution No. 376-06, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 376-06, transmitted by Hawaii County Council Vice Chair Virginia Isbell, via <br /> Communication No. 904, dated May 5, 2006, requests the Mayor and his administration to work <br /> with Kamehameha Schools on future developments of lands mauka of the KPC Villages, LLC <br /> parcel, to provide for completion of the proposed "Village Bypass" connector road between Ali`i <br /> Drive and Kuakini Highway. <br /> The resolution requests the Mayor and his administration to work with Kamehameha Schools to <br /> ascertain whether by negotiation, friendly condemnation or developer requirement, that a <br /> connector road be constructed between Ali`i Drive and Kuakini Highway, or in the alternative, the <br /> reimbursement to the County of any and all costs related to said connector road. <br /> Your Committee heard no testimony from the public regazding the proposed request.
