Please take the next
step and ensure video access from Hilo and other areas.

I support Resolution 402-06 for more meetings in Kona, to give Kona, Ka'u, Puna, Kohala, Waimea,
and Waikoloa equal access to government.

I support Resolution 410-06 and Bill 315, for 2% of property tax be committed to the Public Access,
Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Fund. The thousands of signatures collected
represent strong public support. Actually, the signatures under-represent the support. As you know,
hundreds of signatures were thrown out. And when I collected signatures, many people who wanted
to sign said they just hadn't gotten around to voter registration yet.

I support Resolution 381-06, delaying action on rezoning applications in North and South Kona. This
will allow time to catch up on roads, water, and waste reduction and recycling programs. Draft 4
Amendments will protect projects that benefit public health, safety, and welfare by exempting these
projects.

Together, all these measures will help protect our island from the threats of under-representation and
over-development.
Cory Harden, Mountain View

Comm.
