Conceptual Proposal For Avionic/Aerospace Micro Industries <br /> The purpose of this item is to discuss a conceptual proposal to locate <br /> avionic/aerospace micro industries in Hawaii. The proposal has been made by Mr. <br /> William Hachmeister to the Executive Committee at its meeting of <br /> August 22, 1997. <br /> This item has been deferred pending the receipt of additional information about the <br /> industry from Mr. Hachmeister. <br /> <br /> VI. NEW BUSINESS <br /> A. The Hawaii Winter Baseball League made a presentation about their professional <br /> baseball league program and requested that HSAC support legislation asking the <br /> state to construct a training facility and stadium. It was suggested, by the <br /> Executive Committee, that the league approach each individual County for <br /> support. <br /> B. HSAC Legislative Package <br /> The purpose of this item is to discuss proposals for the 1998 HSAC Legislative <br /> Package. See communication from President Mansho to Executive Committee <br /> members, dated August 26, 1997. Items that were suggested to be included in this <br /> package were Privatization, Tort Reform, Transient Accommodation Tax, and the <br /> Indernnification of the Counties when issuing building permits on Hawaiian Home <br /> Lands. HSAC has requested that each County Council submit proposals for the <br /> 1998 Legislative Package. <br /> C. HSAC Legislative Program <br /> The purpose of this item is to act on a draft of the 1998 HSAC Legislative <br /> Program Policy Statement. See communication from President Mansho to <br /> Executive members, dated August 26, 1997. Annually HSAC adopts a program <br /> policy statement as a guideline for its Legislative Program.
