Murashige, Laura
From: blann[blann@verizon.net] ,
Sent: Saturday, July 15, 2006 1:15 PM ' ~G.-' - -
To: counciltestimony@co.hawaii.hi.us
Subject: Resolution 383-06 1DD6 JUL 17 Pik 5 ].7
c~
Coun Council, ; .,'1~~,
The marina/hotel/timeshare.... project involved is very attractive, given I ,1-r

the great
shortage of marina mooring space in West Hawaii. However the council took
some pride in having passed a long delayed General Plan. It does not set a

great
example to the community to trash the General Plan within a year of touting
your great
accomplishment in passing it.
I would urge a 'no' vote on trashing the General Plan. I would encourage
the developer
to consider this project where it is consistent with land use, and in such a
location would
urge approval of the project- if the traffic impact starts sufficiently far
north of Kailua-
so as not to exacerbate the inadequate portion of Queen Kahamanu Hwy. The
present
project is, in this citizen's opinion, the right project in the wrong
location.
Marshall Blann
Kailua Kona
Comm.IVo.
Ref.
