The property is <br /> located along the west side of Kanoelehua Avenue, approximately 90 feet south of the <br /> Kanoelehua Avenue-Kekuanaoa Street intersection, Waiakea House Lots, I" Series, Waiakea, <br /> South Hilo. <br /> <br /> The Commission concurs with the following Planning Director's reasons for recommending <br /> favorable consideration of the change of zone: <br /> <br /> The applicant is requesting a change of zone from Single-Family Residential <br /> 10,000 square feet (RS-10) to Industrial-Commercial Mixed 20,000 square feet (MCX- <br /> 20) to construct an approximately 7,200 square-foot one-story steel-framed building on <br /> the site. The building will be used for office and storage space for the landowner's <br /> construction business.
