Rules for these facilities are under Hawaii <br /> <br /> Administrative Rules (HAR) Title 11, Chapter 98 (Special Treatment <br /> Facilities) (Planning Department Exhibit 2 - HAR, Title 11, <br /> <br /> Chapter 98). A Therapeutic Living Program is defined as "a supervised <br /> living arrangement that provides mental health or substance abuse services <br /> <br /> for individuals or families who do not need the structure of a special <br /> treatment facility and are transitioning from a more restrictive treatment <br /> <br /> setting to independent living. The program aids residents in meeting basic <br /> needs and provides supportive services through a required service plan." <br /> The proposed rules for these types of facilities are Hawaii Administrative <br /> <br /> Rules (HAR), Title 11, Chapter 92 (Therapeutic Living Programs), which <br /> has not gone to public hearing yet. The Department of Health is licensing <br /> <br /> these facilities under HAR Chapter 98 until their proposed new rules are <br /> passed. <br /> <br /> <br /> 3. Developmental Disabilities Domiciliary Home (DDDH): According to <br /> HRS 321-15.9, a Developmental Disabilities Domiciliary Home (DDDH) <br /> <br /> is defined as "a residence for not more than five persons with <br /> developmental disabilities or mental retardation that require twenty-four <br /> <br /> hour supervision or care, but do not require care by licensed nurses in a <br />
