vvw~ <br /> ~ <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ~h•o~.N'Y <br /> RESOLUTION NO. ~ ~ 6 ~ ~ <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO <br /> <br /> A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Island Visitors Bureau (HIVB) is a 501c6 nonprofit <br /> organization whose purpose is to promote visitors to the Island of Hawaii; and <br /> WHEREAS, HIVB has established aone-year public relations agreement with six-time <br /> Ironman winner Natascha Badmann, who will be the "Official Ambassador for Hawai`i's Big <br /> Island as a tourism destination"; and <br /> WHEREAS, Ms. Badmann will promote the Big Island as "Hawai`i's Island of <br /> Adventure" through photographs of her training on the Big Island, autographed posters, <br /> public appeazances, press releases, etc.; and <br /> WHEREAS, grant funds are needed to cover the costs for accommodations, travel <br /> expenses, photographs, design and printing of the poster, and other related expenses for the <br /> promotional campaign; and <br /> WHEREAS, discretionary funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the <br /> Department of Research and Development to be used as a grant towards HIVB's "Hawai`i's <br /> Island of Adventure" promotion. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set <br /> forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $10,000.00 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $10,000.00 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.161.5161.60 Department of Research and Development $10,000.00 <br /> Tourism Promotion, Misc.
