Higa, Chairman and <br /> Members of the Hawai'i County Council <br /> Hawai'i County Council <br /> 25 Aupuni Street <br /> Hilo, Hawai'i 96720 <br /> <br /> Re: Acceptance of Donation <br /> <br /> In accordance with (1) Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai'i County Charter, which <br /> authorizes the Council, on behalf of the County, to accept gifts or donations of personal <br /> property, and with (2) Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (c), of the Hawai'i County Code, <br /> which states that any donation or gift which does not fall within the capitalization procedures <br /> of the department of finance shall be submitted to the council by letter for its approval, we <br /> request the Council's approval of the following donation: <br /> <br /> Thirty-two (32) cubic yards of cinder, including delivery (total estimated value of <br /> $261.68) to the Department of Parks and Recreation, to be used for the beautification <br /> of Kahakai Park in Hawaiian Beaches, by Sanford's Service Center, Inc., Mr. Sanford <br /> Iwata, P.O.
