t'~ Y~ M <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII - STATE OF HAWAII <br /> •'h~O~~M' <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 4`3'7 06 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND <br /> FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br /> WHEREAS, the year 2006 mazks the 100-year anniversazy of the arrival of the first Filipino <br /> immigrant workers, or Sakadas, to Hawaii; and <br /> WHEREAS, the yeaz-long celebration of Filipinos in Hawai `i -100 Years and Beyond, will <br /> culminate with a "Filipino Fiesta" on November 4, 2006 at the Edith Kanaka`ole Tennis Stadium; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Big Island Filipino Community Council is planning a Filipino Centennial <br /> Celebration Parade in downtown Hilo to celebrate the centennial anniversary of the arrival of the <br /> Filipino people in Hawaii, their significant contributions to the development of this State, and their <br /> culture and heritage; and <br /> WHEREAS, the $5,500.00 appropriation will be administered by the Department of Reseazch <br /> and Development, which will grant the funding to the Big Island Filipino Community Council, a <br /> Hawaii non-profit organization, for the provision of Special Duty Police Officers to direct traffic <br /> during the Filipino Centennial Celebration Pazade. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF <br /> HAWAII that the following amount be and is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $5,500.00 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $5,500.00 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.161.5161.60 Department of Reseazch & Development $5,500.00 <br /> Tourism Promotion <br /> Miscellaneous Contract Services <br /> (Filipino Centennial Celebration) <br /> <br />
