~~v or y__ <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ••;~W M~i1 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 501 06 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Hawaii has one of the largest growing populations of elderly <br /> citizens in the United States of America; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hamakua area of our County contains a high population of elderly <br /> citizens requiring a myriad of services; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Office of Aging has expressed a sincere desire to create <br /> a Hamakua Eldercare Resource Center, for the purpose of establishing a "one-stop shop" center <br /> for eldercare services, information and programs; and <br /> WHEREAS, this proposed eldercare resource center would be part of a very strong <br /> eldercaze, health and education complex, as it would be located near Hale Ho`ola Hamakua <br /> Long-term Care facility, North Hilo Education and Resource Center and the Hamakua Health <br /> Center; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of Aging has requested funding in the amount of $5,000 to <br /> continue the planning process for the Hamakua Eldercare Resource Center. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY <br /> OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred and appropriated as set forth <br /> below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $5,000.00 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $5,000.00 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.411.5411.10 Office of Aging $5,000.00 <br /> Area Plan on Aging <br /> Miscellaneous Contract Services - <br /> Special Aging Grants <br /> (Hamakua Eldercaze Project) <br /> <br />
