COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 512 U6 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE DONATION OF LOT3D OF THE HAKALAU ESTATES SUBDNISION, STfUATE AT HAKALAU NUI, DISTRICT OF SOUTH HILO, COUNTY AND STATE OF HAWAII, IDENTIFIED AS TAX MAP KEY: (3)2-9-002:080, FROM CONTINENTAL PACIFIC, LLC. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII. WHEREAS, Continental Pacific, LLC is the owner of Lot 3D, containing an azea of 3.182 acres, more or less, of the Hakalau Estates Subdivision, situate at Hakalau Nui, in the District of South Hilo, County and State of Hawaii, identified as Tax Map Key: (3)2-9-002:080, and delineated on Exhibit "1" attached hereto; and WHEREAS, since the closure of the Hakalau mill around 1973, the beach area has become a popular azea for surfers, fishermen and beachgoers; and WHEREAS, this parcel will be a tremendous long-term recreational asset to the County of Hawaii; and WHEREAS, Continental Pacific, LLC is desirous of donating the subject parcel to the County of Hawaii; and WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the council may accept gifts, which include the donation of land on behalf of the County of Hawaii. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of Hawaii accepts Lot 3D, containing an azea of 3.182 acres, more or less, of the Hakalau Estates Subdivision, situate at Hakalau Nui, in the District of South Hilo, County and State of Hawaii, identified as Tax Map Key: (3)2-9-002:080, and delineated on Exhibit "1"attached hereto.
