No. 936/Bill No. 300 <br /> PLACE: Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort and Spa <br /> <br /> TIME: 3:05 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Safety and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred <br /> Communication No. 936, and attached Bill Na. 300, which amends Chapter 14, Article 1, of the <br /> Hawaii County Code relating to alcoholic beverages, reports as follows: <br /> Communications No. 936, transmitted by Councilmember Bob Jacobson, dated May 30, 2006, <br /> proposes amending Article 1 regarding intoxicating liquors in county parks. <br /> Specifically, the amendments in Bi11300 propose to: <br /> 1) Require a permit for alcohol in any County park and Recreation facility; <br /> 2) Establish a limited number of narrowly defined sites at which alcohol is allowed with a <br /> permit; and <br /> 3) Establish one time period during which permitted alcohol is allowed (12:00 p.m. to 10:00 <br /> p.m.). <br /> Your Committee on Public Safety and Parks avid Recreation is in accord with the purpose and <br /> intent of Bill No. 300 and recommends it pass first reading. <br /> BJ/jw <br /> AYES NOES A&E EX Respectfully submitted, <br /> AaAKAw x <br /> x?cA x COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC SAFETY <br /> HoEFMANN x AND PARKS AND RECREATION <br /> HOLSCHUH X <br /> IKEDA X , / <br /> ISBELL x r <br /> .?ACOSSON x BOB JAC ON, C AIR <br /> PILAGO x SPR REPORT NO. 30 <br /> SAEAK?K X ADOPTED: <br /> <br />
