Page 1 of I

Murashige, Laura

From: Mary Osborne [mary@shellhi.com]
Sent: Wednesday, November 22, 2006 4:12 PM

To: counciltestimony@co.hawaii.hi.us
Subject: Re: Stanford/ Carr and Wheelock re-zoning

Enough of development without infrastructure. It is irresponsible to the people of this community. It is inexcusable
for this island's council people to sell out the future of this island. Especially, it is appalling and enraging to watch
the Hilo council people approve every developer proposal than comes along for Kona. The traffic is already
terrible. How long do the Hilo folks think it will take until they are dealing with the same mess we are? It will only
be a few years. Development without infrastructure will continue to sour the quality of life on this island. Tourists
will find someplace else to go and many residents will leave. It is nothing but a shame and a tragedy that we as a
community, an island, a state will not commit to a strategy to balance quality of life, care for the environment,
implement conservation and maintain open spaces.
Mary Osborne
Kona resident
P.O.
