I'm a student at Hilo High School, and in my "Participation in <br /> Democracy" class, we have been discussing Bill 300. You know the anti-drinking one that makes <br /> it so people can drink in certain areas and ban drinking on beaches. <br /> The Ban may be a good idea, if it is thought out better. Banning drinking on beaches may <br /> help keep beaches clean and keep fights and such from breaking out. However, it may not stop <br /> drunk driving which may be one of the reasons this bill was proposed. If the bill is passed, then <br /> people may start drinking before the go to the beach, increasing the amount of drunk drivers, and <br /> possibly car crashes. <br /> Please consider these points, while deciding on the bill.
