Months ago, I rallied and voiced my opinion about <br /> how poorly the bill you were attempting to pass was written. It lacked general understanding of <br /> the behavior of animals and how we as humans co-exist with them in today's society. <br /> <br /> Many other citizens had negative responses covering different aspects of the old bill. This bill <br /> covers a large scope affecting a huge cross section of individual interests. I don't believe you <br /> will ever be able to fine-tune it to satisfy all. However, it is admirable and commendable that <br /> such effort on the part of the council was put forth to change and make it better. While I am not <br /> 100% satisfied with the bill in its entirety, it is a good bill. It is also superior to our current law. <br /> As a representative of responsible dog owners, I feel that we would agree that responsibility <br /> includes not only training our dogs to be good citizens, but also respecting others by not <br /> infringing on their rights. In passing this current bill you will be reinforcing responsibility. <br /> Irresponsibility will always opt for a way out, no rules, no consequence. <br /> <br /> I urge you to vote in favor of this bill.
