REQUEST: <br /> 1) Requesting a resolution authorizing receipt and expenditure of federal funds from the YMCA Honolulu <br /> for Pahoa Weed and Seed's Get High on Life projects. <br /> 2) Requesting a bill for an ordinance to appropriate $16,000 for this Pahoa Weed and Seed project. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The Pahoa Weed and Seed project has been approved to receive Federal Project Safe Neighborhood <br /> funding through the YMCA Honolulu to support their "Get High on Life" projects. The Prosecutor's Office <br /> has agreed to receive the funds on behalf of the Pahoa Weed and Seed group to facilitate execution of <br /> community drug-free and drug education activities.
