Smart Signs alert drivers in real time <br /> of their actual speed, thereby encouraging drivers to pay attention to the speed limit. <br /> Discretionary funds from Council District 9, in combination with the matching funds donated by <br /> the Waikoloa Village Association, will also be used towards the purchase of these two (2) Smart <br /> Signs. At the Hawaii County Council meeting held on December 20, 2006, Resolutions 19-06 <br /> was adopted to transfer the matching funds from the Clerk-Council Services Contingency Relief <br /> account to the Transfer to Highway Fund account. <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating $10,000, to the <br /> Traffic Division Equipment account within the Highway Fund. <br /> If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Department of Public Works. <br /> Willia~~ ka <br /> Director of Finance <br /> APPROVED: <br /> Harry Kim <br /> Mayor <br /> Comm.
