The people of Puna have complained loudly, they drive to Hilo for

everything. A man comes to Puna to provide a needed service, and the very same people are griping. This
facility will save gas, time, and money. This service will reduce traffic to Hilo. This service will reduce dumping on
our roads. Temporary Storage will give the working poor a place to park their belongings so they don't take the
first "dump" offered. The trend in Hawaiian Beaches is iwo or three families live in one house until a cheap rental
becomes available.
The truth is, a loud minority protest every change and step towards progress. Another group wants to administer
land use in Puna. While their intentions are good, there is one problem. THEY WERE NOT ELECTEDI
If Puna is to grow it needs this type of facility. There is a documented need. The owner has jumped every hoop
twice for the Council and protesters. The reality is that Puna needs more commercial zoning and leniency by Mr.
Yuen and his staff. We are relying on balanced judgement for Punas future not intransigeance. I wish to thank
the members who showed common sense in allowing this to go forward.
Brian F Jordan
15 2707 Ono St
Pahoa, HI 96778
Home 965 0941
Cell 938 3911
bfjordan@cuhawaii.net
Comm.
