No. 53-07 <br /> PLACE: Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa <br /> 78-128 `Ehukai Street <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 2:15 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 53-07, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 53-07, transmitted by Director of Finance William Takaba, via Communication <br /> No. 129, dated January 22, 2007, authorizes the abandonment and disposition of government paper road <br /> to Donald Sintaku of Shintaku Inc., and Timothy A. Kenko/Mary R. Capone. <br /> The location of the paper road is at Wood Valley, Kau, Hawaii, starting at South Road, proceeding <br /> northwestward to East Road and abutting Tax Map Keys (3) 9-6-008-006 and (3) 9-6-008-002. This road <br /> exists only on paper and is therefore not in use, nor is it usable for transportation purposes for the general <br /> public. <br /> Pursuant to Section 2-111, Hawaii County Code, the Council, may direct the Director of Finance or the <br /> Director of Public Works to dispose of real property in fee simple. <br /> Pursuant to Section 2-118, Hawaii County Code, remnants or portions thereof may be disposed of <br /> without recourse to public auction and shall be first offered for sale to the abutting landowners. <br /> Pursuant to Section 2-118(c) Hawaii County Code, an appraisal of the 5,056 square feet roadway reserve <br /> remnant was done, which appraisal valued the remnant at $5,000.00. <br /> Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 53-07 and <br /> recommends its adoption. <br /> la <br /> nYES NOES a&E Ex Respectfully submitted, <br /> FORD X <br /> RIGA x COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> HOFFMANN X <br /> IKEDA X <br /> JACOBSON X - <br /> NAEOLE X <br /> PILAGO X DOMINIC YAGON , <br /> YAGONG X FC REPOT 40 <br /> YOSHIMOTO X ADOPTED: FEB 2 2~~~ <br /> <br />
