a <br /> ~ <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 90 07 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND <br /> <br /> FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br /> WHEREAS, Council District 6 includes parts of Puna, Ka`6 and South Kona and covers <br /> <br /> the largest Council district on the Hawaii Island; and <br /> WHEREAS, many Volunteer Fire Departments (VFD) have been mobilized in the <br /> district in an effort to provide immediate assistance in the event of an emergency; and <br /> WHEREAS, with appropriate training and equipment, Volunteer Fire Fighters can assist <br /> as first responders in certain situations to provide basic stabilization techniques in the first <br /> critical minutes following an accident; and <br /> WHEREAS, Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) is a critical life saving device that <br /> can literally save a life if used immediately and appropriately; and <br /> WHEREAS, discretionary funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Fire <br /> Department to be used to purchase nine AEDs for its VFD; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCII. OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transfened/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $17,269.75 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $17,269.75 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.221.5226.06 Hawaii Fire Department $17,269.75 <br /> Training and Volunteer Fire <br /> Equipment <br /> (Nine AEDs for Council Dist ict 6) <br /> <br />
