Draft 2 ir_corporates the floor amendment <br /> which was transmitted via Communication 200.3 on Mazch 8. 2007 and which was adopted by <br /> the Council at first heazing on March 9, 2007. <br /> Draft 2 amends Chapter 11, article 1, section 11-4(d), Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 edition), <br /> to read as follows: <br /> "(d) Requirements for industrial uses. <br /> The industrial uses that must fulfill the affordable housing requirements are any <br /> uses allowed as of right in an ML or MG district, except for home improvement <br /> centers, and any uses that aze also allowed as of right in a CG district. <br /> ~ ] Rezonings to ML, MG, or MCX <br /> with a potential to eng erate more than one hundred employees on a full-time <br /> equivalent basis must earn one affordable houtiing credit for every four full-time <br /> equivalent jobs created. At the time of rezoning the potential iob generation <br /> shall be assumed to be ten full-time equivalent iobs per acre to determine <br /> whether subsequent development within the rezoned area must satisfy an <br /> affordable housing requirement. At the time ofplan approval, pursuant to <br /> section 1 I-9(b), the affordable housing requirement shall be based upon ten full- <br /> time equivalent jobsper acre, or one per 1,00() square feet ofgross floor area, <br /> whichever is reg ater, provided that the administrator, afrer consultation with the <br /> plannine director shall adjust the number of jobs based on proof that the acttlal <br /> number of jobs created will deviate from this standazd, and provided that in that <br /> / case the affordable housing requirement shall he reassessed if the use is <br /> ate warn n. s ~o. ___-7i-f~SD~~ <br /> (S(o~ gt. a, Ref.
