,ASV Oi <br /> l~ 1 <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> h~M~Mr+ <br /> RESOLUTION NO. x-65 (17 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO <br /> <br /> A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Kupuna Softball League, a sponsored league of the County <br /> of Hawaii Department of Parks and Recreation's Elderly Activities Division -Special <br /> <br /> Programs, will host the 2007 Hawaii State Senior Citizens Softball Tournament at Kailua <br /> Park in August 2007; and <br /> WHEREAS, forty teams from throughout the State ofHawai`i will participate in this <br /> three-day tournament, with between 1,400 and 1,600 anticipated attendees; and <br /> WHEREAS, sponsorship of this annual event rotates annually between the Islands of <br /> Oahu, Kauai, Maui, and Hawaii, and 2007 is Hawaii Island's turn to host this event; and <br /> WHEREAS, financial assistance has been requested by the Hawaii Kupuna Softball <br /> League to fund costs associated with hosting this major recreational event, which funding <br /> request has been approved by the Department of Parks and Recreation; and <br /> WHEREAS, discretionary funds from Council District 8 for $2,890 will be <br /> appropriated to the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide financial assistance for the <br /> 2007 Hawaii State Senior Citizens Softball Tournament at Kailua Park; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $2,890 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $2,890 <br /> <br />
