:~1- .4 <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ..a M, <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 1$5 07 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERKING/AYYROYRIA'I'iN(G AN AYYROYRIAI'ION OU'P <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br /> WHEREAS, the mission of the Hawaii Island Humane Society is to promote respect for <br /> all animals, prevent cruelty to animals, eliminate pet overpopulation, and enhance the <br /> relationship between humans and animals; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Island Humane Society helps animals in need by using <br /> volunteers who gain valuable skills in companion animal Gaze and behavior, customer service, <br /> and team work, including training opportunities for long-term volunteers; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Island Humane Society has recently started a pilot disease <br /> screening project to determine the number of animals that were positive for feline infectious <br /> virus and feline leukemia as well parvo vims in dogs, and determined that ten percent of the <br /> animals in the control group have tested positive for infectious diseases; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Island Humane Society is funded by donations and the County <br /> of Hawaii; and <br /> WHEREAS, discretionary funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to the <br /> Police DepartmenUAnimal Control to be used as a grant towazds the Hawaii Island Humane <br /> Society to provide testing materials for 900 animals; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred appropriated asset forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $9,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $9,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.239.5239.01 Police Department/Animal Control $9,000 <br /> Humane Society-Misc. Contract Services <br /> (Hawai`i Island Humane Society) <br /> <br />
