?r or <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> h.w.M'~ <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 189 0'7 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO <br /> A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Research and Development ("R&D") has undertaken <br /> <br /> the planning and implementation of the Hilo Bayfront Trails; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hilo Bayfront Trails is a three-phase project to construct amulti-use <br /> path spanning Hilo Bayfront; and <br /> WHEREAS, the first phase includes the development of a comprehensive plan <br /> including community input to improve and enhance the area's natural beauty, increase access <br /> for residents and visitors, and to protect the fragile coastline and waterways; and <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed Hilo Bayfront Trails will extend along Hilo Bay from the <br /> cruise ship terminal at the Port of Hilo to the Wailuku River in Downtown Hilo; and <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed trail will provide a safe and scenic pathway for pedestrians, <br /> joggers, runners, bicyclers, and others who want to utilize the path; and <br /> WHEREAS, monies are needed to complete Phase 1 of the project; and <br /> WHEREAS, discretionary funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated to the <br /> Department of Research and Development to be used towazds completion of the Phase 1 of <br /> the project; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $25,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $25,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.161.5161.60 Department of Research and Development - $25,000 <br /> Tourism Promotion (Hilo Bayfront Trails) <br /> <br />
