~~tv or N~'i <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII -y STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ae•ay. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 200 0'7 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE RECEIPT AND EXPENDITURE OF THE <br /> <br /> FUNDS FROM THE HAWAII STATE CIVIL DEFENSE FOR THE HAWAII FIRE <br /> DEPARTMENT'S PARTICIPATION IN THE URBAN SEARCH & RESCUE <br /> PROGRAM <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Hawaii Department of Defense, Hawaii State Civil Defense <br /> sponsors the Urban Search and Rescue Training and a Urban Search and Rescue Development <br /> Committee; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department participates in this program and is reimbursed for <br /> travel expenses, subsistence, and overtime expenditures relating to these activities; and <br /> WHEREAS, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 46-7, requires that county departments <br /> obtain the consent of the council to expend and receive any funds or other assistance from the <br /> federal or state governments in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to any <br /> powers granted by law. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF <br /> HAWAII that it authorizes the receipt and expenditure of funds relating to the Urban Search & <br /> Rescue Program. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, in accordance with section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, <br /> that the Mayor of the County of Hawaii is authorized to execute, on behalf of the County, an <br /> agreement and/or related documents, to enable the Hawaii Fire Department to receive funds, from <br /> the State of Hawaii Department of Defense, Hawaii State Civil Defense, for the Urban Search & <br /> Rescue Program. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii shall transmit <br /> copies of this resolution to the Department of Finance and the Hawaii Fire Department. <br /> <br />
