S. Bureau of hrstice Assistance (BJA), in cooperation with the NGA, to develop the $orizontal lmegration Pilot (FITIP) project. The Fi1P project is designed to demonsOrate the technical feasibility and business value of electronically sharing critical information at key decision points in a real-time and secure manner'- This project is limited iri scope, focusing initially on a aiagle jurisdiction (klawaii County}, a single document (the OBTS Arrest Report), and a limitExl number of electronic exchanges, utilizing, a nnessage broker technology. puading from the grant is being shared with agencies participating in the H1P project. These fiords will be used for modiflcadons necessary on their agency systems in order to accept this information and to update thew agency database(s). The Office of the prosecuting Attorney in Flawaii County is one of these participating agencies, and after discussions with you and your staff, we have allocated 824,000 for the modifications needed on your agency systan.
