COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 216 C9'7 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br /> WHEREAS, on Labor Day weekend, September 1~` and 2°d, Ka`6 Preservation wdl be <br /> sponsoring a large music festival in Ka`n, called "MALAMA PUNALU`U"; and <br /> WHEREAS, there will be a host of Hawaiian musicians along with some outstanding <br /> hula performances, and cultural practitioners who will demonstrate their knowledge and talents; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, this will be a drug and alcohol free event with strong anti drug messages <br /> throughout; and <br /> WHEREAS, this event will provide opportunities for ow island residents and visitors to <br /> experience the unique environment and the hospitality of the residents of Ka`n; and <br /> WHEREAS, discretionary funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the <br /> Prosecuting Attorney's Office to be used as a grant towards the Ka`n Preservation for the Ka`u <br /> Music Festival; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated asset forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION; $10,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $10,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.271.5271.02 Prosecuting Attorney's Office $10,000 <br /> Pros Atty Oce <br /> (Ka`u Preservation Music Festival) <br /> <br />
