•~w~ <br /> <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ,•h~u wig <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 218 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESINGATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br /> WHEREAS, the Big Island Resource and Development Council will sponsor the second <br /> annual Hilo Inter-Tribal Powwow at Wailoa State Park on May 26a', 27`h and 28a' ;and <br /> WHEREAS, this is a free community event that will premier contemporary and <br /> traditional American Indian dances, drumming, singing, storytelling, silent auction, arts/crafts <br /> and ethnic food; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Federation of American Natives in partnership with the Big Island <br /> Resource and Development will host two tribes, the Wapato Indian Club who was awarded with <br /> the Governor's Heritage Award 2005 and the Eagle Song Dancers who will present the <br /> traditional "Chiax" protocol and laws of their canoe culture; and <br /> WHEREAS, discretionary funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to the <br /> Department of Research and Development to be used as a grant towards the Big Island Resource <br /> and Development Council for the 2" Annual Hilo Inter-Tribal Powwow; now therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $2,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC-Contingency Relief $2,000 <br /> CREIDTED TO: <br /> 010.161.5161.60 Department of Research and Development $2,000 <br /> Tourism Promotion <br /> (Big Island Resource and Development Council- <br /> 2"a Annual Hilo-Tribal Powwow) <br /> <br />
