In addition to that decision, they also voted that I chair this committee. <br /> The purpose of this committee is to provide input and planning suggestions to KIC and the <br /> County Council on certain conditions we believe are essential to proper development of these <br /> areas. Representatives of KIC have suggested that they want dialog with the community and/or <br /> organizations to assist them in addressing these concerns. <br /> Due to the magnitude of this application, we implore the Planning Committee of the County <br /> Council to defer all decisions and recommendations until we and KIC commence with this <br /> process. It is cleaz by testimonies of KIC representatives that physical development of this project <br /> is targeted for five to seven yeazs. If that is the case, we then suggest that your need for speedy <br /> approval for this application is not so critical. <br /> It was unfortunate that on the date of your Planning Committee meeting at the Kona Surf Hotel, <br /> another very important meeting for the Hawaiian community facilitated by OHA was scheduled in <br /> Kona. <br /> P.O.
