Arakaki, Chair <br /> and Members of the Hawaii County Council <br /> FROM: Bobby Jean Leithead-Todd, Chair <br /> Committee on Planning <br /> RE: Bill No. ] 86, Draft 4 <br /> Please review the following proposed amendment to Housing Condition L in Bill No. <br /> 186, Draft 4, which reflects Ordinance 98-1(effective January 7, 1998): <br /> To ensure that the goals and policies of the Housing Element of the General Plan are <br /> implemented, the applicant shall [secure the concurrence of the Office of I lousing and <br /> Community Development that the applicant's affordable housing requirements for the <br /> residential development of the subject property, if any, have been mutually agreed to <br /> prior to Final Subdivision Approval for any portion of the subject property comply with <br /> the requirements of Chapter 11, Article L Hawaii Counlv Code, relating to Affordable <br /> Housing. <br /> Ordinance 98-1 amended the f lawaii Cow~ty Code relating to an affordable housing <br /> policy for the County of Hawaii. The above language was inserted in Bill No. 207, Draft 2 <br /> (Prohoroff) which was approved by the Planning Committee.
