~<v,ar. <br /> t}~~~.~ <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 224 0r7 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO <br /> A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) <br /> WHEREAS, there are many traffic safety improvements that need to be implemented <br /> in Council District 2, South Hilo; and <br /> WHEREAS, these improvements include, but are not limited to street lights, Smart <br /> Signs, traffic calming devices; traffic control mechanisms, guardrails, and other necessary and <br /> appropriate improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS, the procedures for the procurement and installation of these <br /> improvements is a complicated and lengthy process; and <br /> WHEREAS, utilizing the mechanisms of a Capital Budget account will provide the <br /> Department of Public Works sufficient time to properly follow these procedures; and <br /> WHEREAS, discretionary funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated to the <br /> Department of Public Works for traffic safety improvements; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $100,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $100,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.801.5801.33 DepartrnentofPublicWorks $100,000 <br /> Transfer to Cap Proj Fund-G <br /> (To be allotted to District 2, South Hilo Road <br /> and Traffic Safety Improvements <br /> 110.399.5395.39) <br /> <br />
