I have written before to express my concern about developing in this area and
will continue to do so until it is left as it is- undeveloped grounds.
I was a visiting student with a class from Duluth, MN that stayed in Kau to learn and understand the
culture and people of that area. I'm glad to say that I loved my well spent time there and enjoyed the
new knowledge that I was able to take away from there. I am a firm believer that learning new cultures
can broaden an individual's mind, but with nothing else to look forward to in Punalu'u I'm sure that we
may not be able to visit anymore.
I am hoping, soon, that the decision continues to stay for no development so that I may be able to visit
Punalu'u in the future and still see the one and only black sands. Please consider your decisions
cazefully and think of the visiting students from Duluth, MN that come back every yeaz to visit. Thank
you for reading this.
Sincerely,
Nancy Vang
Cptgm. No.J ~'1.g ~ ~
Raf. To,
Rif. Date,,llll 3 n 2007
7/27/2007
