(Reference: Constitution of the State of Hawaii, Article X, Section 3; Act 150, SLH 1981). <br /> The functions of the Board of Education are described in the Hawaii Revised Statutes. <br /> Application for <br /> State Librarian The Board consists of 14 members. Seven of the members are elected according to geographic <br /> Position region and 6 are elected at-large. One non-voting student member also serves on the Board. <br /> The BOE meets every first and third Thursdays of each month.
